JCEF Local Scholarship Application

The JCEF Local Scholarship Application is open to students from Josephine County, Glendale and Rogue River. Through one application, you have access to over 200 scholarship funds and $500,000 in awards.

Application Open: November 1st
Application Closed: March 1st, 5:00 PM PST

You will be asked for the following when you apply:

1. Basic Demographic Information
2. Household Financial Information and FAFSA Expected Family Contribution
3. List of Activities (school, work, volunteer) you have participated in with dates and average hours
4. Contact information for 2 letters of recommendation (name and email address)
5. Five personal essay questions (200 words each)
   • What are your specific educational plans and career goals and why? What inspires you to achieve them
   • What have you done for your family or community that you care about the most and why
   • Describe a personal accomplishment and the strengths and skills you used to achieve it
   • Describe a significant change or experience that has occurred in your life. How did you respond and what did you learn about yourself?
   • Please describe a situation that reflected your values in a positive way or an incident you wish you had handled differently.

Upon completing the application, you may be prompted to fill out additional information or scholarships that require an additional essay, letter of recommendation, or eligibility question. Please see the Scholarship Catalogue to review the requirements in advance.
