  • Award: Two $1,500 scholarships open to local high school seniors who have an interest in hunting or whose families have a tradition of hunting activities.
  • Eligibility: Open to public high school, private and home schooled students in Josephine County. Applicants from Glendale High School and Rogue River High School are also encouraged to apply as those communities are considered to be served by OHA’s Josephine County’s chapter.
  • GPA: 2.5 or above;
  • Selection Criteria:  Meet GPA requirement; write a required essay about student’s hunting experiences or traditions or family’s hunting experiences or traditions plus include information on applicant, applicant’s family and interests. Preference shown to applicants majoring in wildlife, forestry or natural resources.
  • Other Requirements: Include a transcript and one letter of recommendation with your application.
  • Application: Apply on the OHA’s own application (PDF). Follow all listed instructions. Note: Your school’s Counseling Department or Career Center should also have the updated Application/Entry materials.
  • Deadline: All applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2021 and mailed to: Oregon Hunters Association-Josephine County Chapter, PO Box 1323, Grants Pass, OR 97528.
