  • About the Scholarship:  Established by the Zottola family in 2015 to honor the memories of Robert Zottola and Verna Zottola-Scott. Verna Zottola-Scott graduated from GPHS in 1972; she participated in student council, choir, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Pep Club. Her brother, Robert, graduated from North Valley High School in 1983 and had a daughter and son who graduated from GPHS in 2010 and 2013, respectively. Robert frequently volunteered at GPHS as a team parent for multiple sports, was an ASPIRE mentor, and annually presented at Career Day. Both Verna and Robert were creative, intelligent, hard workers, and they both had a great sense of humor. Though they achieved professional successes, their greatest pride came through their relationships as loyal and loving children, siblings, friends, spouses, and especially parents. Verna and Robert both died due to long-term complications from treatments for Hodgkins Disease.
