  • Award: Five $500 Awards
  • Eligibility: Graduating seniors from Grants Pass, Hidden Valley, Illinois Valley, North Valley and Rogue River High Schools.
  • Selection Criteria: Academic achievement, financial need, school activities and extra-curricular activities.  Eligible students may be choosing a traditional academic major or plan to pursue a trade or technical career at an accredited vocational school.
  • Use of Funds: Recipients may use the award at any accredited vocational school as well as any accredited college or university at which they have been accepted. Funds must be used in the current school year following the award to pay for books and supplies upon presentation of receipts for expenses incurred, or may be sent to the school directly for payment of tuition/fees upon receipt of a letter confirming registration.
  • About this Scholarship: Myrtle Trickey was raised the youngest of eight on a Wyoming ranch. She lived to be 100 years old and was a passionate champion of education all her life. When she was in her 90’s, she created a scholarship so that local students could have access to education long beyond her lifetime.
