North Valley High School Awards Night 2015


James Andrew Bourland received the Robert Copeland Memorial Scholarship awarded by Lynn Hughes on behalf of the Copeland Family. This scholarship honors the memory of Robert Copeland who started Copeland Sand and Gravel/Landscape Supply, a prominent local business. The award has been given since 1987.


Grants Pass Active Club members Travis Palmerton (center-back row) J.J. DeForest and a third club member, pose with 2015 NVHS Active Club Scholarship recipients Hope Gurzell, Emily Pottruff, Cassie Logan and Mikala Mohr. Each student receives a $500 scholarship. Similar awards from the club are given to outstanding graduates at Hidden Valley, Illinois Valley and Grants Pass High.


Taylor Mashore, a 2015 NVHS graduate received the Grants Pass Lions Club scholarship from Lion’s Club scholarship chair & presenter, Millard Marsh. Each year the club chooses one outstanding senior from each of the four public high schools who have been GP Lion’s Club “Student’s of the Month” to receive a $500 one-time scholarship.


Nicole Wee received a $1,000 scholarship from Etna Rebekah Lodge #49 IOOF.


Tru Emily Allen was awarded the Barbara Ashbridge Memorial Scholarship by donor, Jay Ashbridge. The scholarship honors the memory of Jay’s mother who was a nurse. It is given to outstanding senior graduates at North Valley who are interested in a nursing career.
